QUOTE FOR THE DAY

THERE IS A PLACE IN YOU WHERE THERE IS PERFECT PEACE,

THERE IS A PLACE IN YOU WHERE NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

- A COURSE IN MIRACLES

INTENDERS' BRIDGE - A HIGHER POINT OF VIEW

The Bridge ~ Reminder #25
A Higher Point of View

Adversity strengthens us.
Who could we learn more from than our own brothers and sisters?

It is time that we started looking at our lives from the level of the soul. At present, most people have bought into the limiting idea that this life is the only one there is, but nothing could be further from the truth. Indeed, as it has been said many times throughout these writings, we live countless lifetimes in countless realities, all for the purpose of expanding our creativity. Sometimes we even take on tasks that require us to learn lessons which are not always pleasant in the short run.

Our soul is an enthusiastic, adventurous vehicle, but our body tends toward complacency and becoming comfortable with routines. It seems that we need our apple cart upset every so often in order to break us out of our malaise. This is why we made agreements and arrangements with others, before we came into this lifetime, to help each other in case we started to get stuck here. We asked our soul family to show up at the right time to provide the perfect lesson that would get us moving forward again.

For those who don't see this wondrous play going on from a higher, soul level, it would appear as if the person who is creating all of our turmoil and adversity is a horrible bad guy. Those who are wedded to their Earthly identity tend to make judgments, play the blame game, and grumble incessantly about the harsh conditions imposed on them by someone else. However, in truth, our adversaries are just doing what we asked them to do long, long ago, in a place beyond this beautiful Earth.

"You labor under two great limitations, Robert. These limitations pervade your world and keep you from experiencing your birthright. The first limitation is that there are no worlds other than the one in which you are living. It amazes those in my world how this idea can continue to exist, especially in light of all of the new information which is being made available to you. Where do you think your dreams are coming from? Where do your thoughts, your feelings, or your creative inspirations come from? There is so much more that awaits your people, and yet they cannot access it as long as they believe it doesn't exist."

"Our limiting beliefs create our limited reality?" I stated, rhetorically.

"That's the way it works, Robert. If, on the other hand, your people would seek, in earnest, to step into the world of Spirit, then ancient doors would open, and old friends would bid them to enter."

From The Code: The Reunion - A Parable for Peace

My Intention for today is:

I Intend that I am looking at life from my soul's point of view.

LIVE THE LIVE YOU LOVE WITH BARBARA SHER

Live the Life You Love
with
Barbara Sher

Hi everyone! I'm back from my travels overseas and ready to do a new internet radio episode this Sunday, May 11 at 2 p.m. New York time (EDT). It's called Live the Life You Love with Barbara Sher. You can listen live by going to Barbara's Radio Show (and you can hear the archived shows at any time).

I'm devoting this show to the most exciting program I've ever run: I call it How To Write Your Own Success Story or WriteSpeak for short - and you can find out more at Write Your Own Success Story or Genius Press.

It's about creating a career like mine as an author and speaker, using techniques I've developed over the course of my 30 years of running workshops, giving speeches and writing successful self-help books.

About a year and a half ago I turned what I'd learned into the WriteSpeak program which is now in its 3rd generation. The results have been amazing. I'll be talking about the next WriteSpeak program which begins on May 17, as well as some the recent alumni and their success stories, and I'll do my best to explain this completely new approach to becoming an author and a speaker. I'm going to tell where my ideas and techniques came from, how they work and why I started this program in the first place. As always I'll welcome your questions, so feel free to call in. ................................

WILDERNESS SOCIETY NEWSLETTER

Dear sherrie,

The Rio Grande National Forest in southwestern Colorado has been called "one of the true undiscovered jewels of Colorado." Moose and mule deer call this forest home, and its alpine semi-desert grasslands, lodgepole pine forests and views of the rugged peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness make it a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike.

Little wonder, then, that a Bush Administration plan to lease 145,000 acres of the forest to oil and gas companies drew a public outcry from local officials, conservation groups, and two members of the Colorado delegation: Senator Ken Salazar and Rep. John Salazar.

And in a lovely intersection of citizen activism, congressional leadership, and agency responsiveness, the drilling proposal has been withdrawn. Don't you just love success stories? I do

Yours for continued success,

Suzanne Jones
Regional Director

Support Our Work

Don't Pass up this Million Dollar Opportunity

Wouldn't it be nice if you could suddenly make double the difference in protecting America's wildlands? Today, sherrie, you can!

A couple of generous donors will match your gift dollar-for-dollar, in a one million dollar challenge grant. Why? Because they share your passion about protecting America's wilderness, and they are well aware that the Bush Administration can do some serious damage in its final days. This is when our work to save places like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is most urgent.

Give today to see your donation go TWICE as far. And thank you!

Take Action

Please Thank the Salazars for Their Conservation Efforts

The Rio Grande National Forest in southwest Colorado is home to moose, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and a host of other animals-- hardly the place for industrial oil and gas drilling. That's why local citizens and officials and conservation groups organized to oppose the plan. And when Senator Ken Salazar and Rep. John Salazar joined the effort, the federal land agencies withdrew the plan. This is a great success story, and a good reason to say thank you to the Salazars.

News

New Washington Wilderness for the 21st century

America's brand new wilderness, dubbed Wild Sky, can be found on the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest north of Seattle. It's Washington's first newly-designated wilderness in more than 20 years. It includes pristine lowland valleys, large stands of old growth forests and a handful of Washington's famous wild rivers. This is the culmination of a multi-year effort, and the WildAlert community has played an important role in gaining passage for this bill. Truly, this is something to celebrate!

Public Overwhelmingly Opposes Oil & Gas Drilling in Utah's Famed Nine Mile Canyon

House Passes Major Land Conservation Initiative

Bill would make the National Landscape Conservation System permanent.

PBS Features Alaska Wilderness

A new video about Gates of the Arctic National Park in Alaska will be shown on many PBS stations this summer. The park's creation was due in part to the actions of Wilderness Society giants Bob Marshall and Mardy and Olaus Murie. If you'd like to see it, go to your PBS station's web site and search on "Gates of the Arctic"

SWAMI PARMANANDJI HERE UNTIL MONDAY

Subject: An extraordinary experience
Date: Fri, 9 May 2008 03:11:04 +0000

I know we all have very busy lives and schedules but did want to relate an extraordinary experience with Swami Parmanandji who is here Friday through Monday. Victoria had emailed me information about a meditation and fruit blessing on Wednesday evening and although I was busy, I did manage to catch the 8:30pm time. I walked in, greeted Victoria and Iggy and had a chair. We were encouraged to pull our chairs close to the Swami which I did. Almost immediately the energies made me take notice and I noticed something happening in my right arm (been clearing stuff from the right arm for over a year now!) which really got my attention. During the short meditation, I had a heart center deepening and throughout the time with Swami, simply wanted to be silent and experience the exquisiteness of his Presence. If you haven't experienced this masterful Being, I do encourage you to do so, if you can manage to find any time in the next four days to be in His Presence. What an uplift! Blessings of peace, Aurelia
