Life Keeps Offering Us the Next Thing - A New Bridge Message
Life keeps offering us the next thing. It's our choice as to whether we take it - whether we recognize our opportunities and make the most of them, or whether we let them go, nestle back into our continuous comfort zone, and wait for another gift to come along. The key to our greatest happiness in life often lies in our alertness. Do we stay so focused on our latest drama, our favorite thoughts, our current distractions, and let things slide by - or can we ratchet our alertness up a notch and take advantage of the gifts being offered?
The times we live in call for us to do some ratcheting. I don't know anyone nowadays who isn't being tested in one way or another. Clearly, there is so much testing going on that we can't ignore it or avoid it. The issue is not so much how we react to our tests; it's where these tests are leading us.
For those who are lining themselves up with the highest good, the tests lead to greatness and all that we have longed for. All we have to do to pass our tests is to be clear about the end result. Will it give us the resolution we're looking for? Does the end result feel good? It is a great truth that all intentions, once manifested, end with a feeling - a feeling of satisfaction, a feeling of joy, a feeling of expansion; and that expansion will then lead us to our next step in life.
Let's look at an example that is in our faces on a regular basis nowadays. Many folks are worried about war and what our supposed "enemies" might do to us. The media people are the loudest advocates for war - so much so that they obviously have a vested interest in it and all the killing and suffering it engenders.
On the other side of the coin is the Family of Man. The Family of Man may not be the most popular idea at present, especially if you're still trusting in the mainstream media people, however, when you really think and feel about it, doesn't the Family of Man touch a chord deep within you? Doesn't it offer the promise of a better day, a day when you can walk the land openly without borders and false boundary lines, a day when you look freely into the eyes of anyone who comes your way, a day when you breathe easy because there is no longer anyone out to get you?
The Family of Man. Think about it - and when you do, doesn't it resonate? Isn't it just as easy to believe in (and thus create for ourselves) as the ugly offerings from the media?
That's where our alertness comes in; that's where our opportunities are to be found. We can go along with the crowd and continue to keep our attention on the media matrix and all it stands for - or we can change. We can stay alert and accept the gift in our tests. The next time we would normally pick a newspaper up off the rack, or turn on the TV news, we can tune them out, turn them off, and take back our lives by making a stand on behalf of the Family of Man.
Therein lie the results we're really looking for. Therein come the feelings we have long sought and deserve. Therein is how we pass life's tests and move on to our next thing. Indeed, those who choose Oneness over separation, truth over lies, peace over war, and love over fear shall be the ones to bring forth a new day upon this Earth.
My Intention for today is:

The name Tony Burroughs is commonly associated with "Intenders of The Highest Good." He was one of the founders some 15 to 20 yrs ago on the Island of Hawaii. When I heard Tony would be giving a workshop, I took advantage. Tina Stober accompanied Tony, as did artist and musician Aaron Jacobson. My experience with the team was that they were highly qualified, knowledgeable, and long time practitioners of Intentions. The whole workshop was not only practical but empowering and informing. I felt confident in their wisdom, and knew that I could apply it in my own life.
With their clarity in explaining I understood the underlying principles of Manifestation and Intention. The knowledge I took from this workshop has served me well, especially in the area of letting go of limitations. I took away a clearer sense of direction for my life and how to accomplish what is really important to me. I know my thoughts are more positive; I am happier and experience more joy in my day; and I know the Laws of Manifestation work because I have experienced this several times now.
The one thing that was really stressed (in the Intenders Road Show) was to always serve the highest and best good of the Universe, as well as the highest and best good for ourselves and others.
I am filled with gratitude that Tony and the Intenders Road Show said yes to the Universe and brought "The Intenders of the Highest Good" into our lives at this time. Show yourself kindness and attend a workshop. You will not want to leave.

It’s time to get serious about food safety.
The USDA has yet to appoint the Under Secretary for Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) – and it’s time that we had a real reformer at the USDA.
Every year in the U.S. an estimated 76 million people get sick with food borne illnesses and 5,000 die. One person who knows this fact better than anybody else in the country is food safety lawyer Bill Marler.
You may remember him as the generous patron who offered to pay for author Michael Pollan’s visit to Washington State University after his best-selling book, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, had been removed from the freshman reading program. But Marler’s been known as a leading advocate for food safety for nearly two decades.
In 1993, Marler served as the lead attorney in the famous Jack in the Box E.coli outbreak. Since then, he’s led the charge in protecting the rights of consumers against unsafe practices by major corporations.
As someone who’s been on the front lines of America’s food safety crisis for nearly 20 years, he has seen first hand the devastation that can be left in the wake of poor food safety practices. We believe that Marler understands the problems that create food safety outbreaks and knows the solutions. He believes that inspection is an important process that not only protects consumers but could save farmers, hospitals and businesses money as well. He understands the importance of regionalizing our food system to build more processing plants that will create a safer food supply and real jobs for rural America.
Known as a fair and fierce opponent, Marler is the perfect candidate to help reform America’s bankrupt food safety system from the ground up. As unprecedented food safety legislation winds its way through Congress that will redefine the Food and Drug Administration’s role in keeping America’s food safe, it’s important that the USDA has an individual with a strong commitment to food safety and consumer health. Bill Marler is that candidate.

In an age of record food safety outbreaks, it’s important that America has a reformer on the frontlines in the effort to rebuild our nation’s broken food safety system. In just the past few weeks, U.S. consumers have had to contend with E.coli O157:H7 found in Nestle Toll House cookie dough and a massive new E.coli outbreak in over 421,000 pounds of beef.
On June 24 the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a Class 1 recall for primal cuts of beef from the JBS Swift Beef Company in Greeley, Colorado. According to the FSIS website, this recall has a high health risk to American consumers and at a time when they should be relaxing and enjoying the festivities of our nation’s Independence Day, mothers and cooks will have to worry if their children or loved ones could get sick from eating tainted meat on the 4th of July.
It’s time to put this to an end.
I believe it’s important that America leads the way in food safety for the 21st century and support our nation’s leading food safety attorney, Bill Marler, being selected to lead the way as the next Under Secretary of the FSIS.
America can no longer afford to appease an industry that has made our food less safe and continues to put lives at risk because of convenience or profit. Please show us that you care about our nation’s consumers and children by nominating Bill Marler to become the next head of the FSIS.

Dear Sherrie,
Check out The Red Door this Sunday. I will be speaking on "Intuiting Divine Inspiration" and we will have a 7th Chakra guided sound meditation led by DJ Brett Starr. Energy Healings and Massage start at 5:45pm, Service starts at 6:25pm at The Rocky Mountain Miracle Center, 1939 S. Monroe St., Denver.
Many people have a "problem" with the words and concepts of "God", "Church", "Reverend", "Religion". So let me explain my view on this. More than 1/3 of Americans define themselves as spiritual but not religious. Those going to The Red Door are primarily from this group. We use some of the above "problem" words because we at The Red Door are involved in re-claiming and re-defining them. If theses words bother you, I invite you to have a fresh, present time and new experience of them. For instance, "God" can be seen as some greater creative force than ourselves, which we can connect to and draw inspiration from.
My goal in teaching meditative and intuitive practices has always been to share what is useful, uplifting and beneficial with all who are interested.
I aknowledge and commend all others who are spreading anything that helps humanity. One of my most useful classes, Creating and Manifesting, starts this Thursday, July 9th (see below).
Several of us involved with The Red Door, are also involved with other churches. The Red Door is simply a different way to explore your spirituality on your own terms. It is also a lot of fun and if you're not careful you may meet a friend or two, and perhaps leave with a greater sense of your own spirituality and our collective community.

Friday was an historic day. For the first time ever, the U.S. House passed major climate and energy legislation: the Waxman-Markey bill.
Unfortunately, the bill is so corrupted by polluting special interests, including Shell Oil and coal hog Duke Energy -- as well as corporate agribusiness and Wall Street -- that we can't celebrate. Instead of bringing about the transition to clean energy President Obama spoke of during his campaign, this bill is actually counterproductive, gutting the EPA's authority to fight global warming.
Now we need your help to take this fight to the Senate. Please make a gift of $15 or more to Friends of the Earth today.
Days before the Waxman-Markey bill came to the House floor, we launched a hard-hitting ad campaign to expose the bill's weakness and put pressure on lawmakers to pass a bill with the teeth to protect our climate.
We spoke truth to power, demanding that Congress do better. We changed the debate on the bill, generating coverage of its weaknesses in media outlets ranging from the AP to the New York Times to NPR to DailyKos.com, and supporting the efforts of progressive members of Congress to improve the bill.
There were those who said we should compromise -- that we should take whatever climate legislation we can get. But when it comes to global warming, the climate isn't going to strike any deals with us. If we don't listen to scientists and reduce emissions, our ecosystem, our economy, and our children will pay the price.

The Waxman-Markey bill now heads to the Senate, where we have a real chance to improve it by persuading progressive senators to stand strong and demand a better bill -- a bill that does what scientists say we must and preserves existing EPA authority.
