HELP BRING PEACE TO DARFUR IN 2008
Dear sherrie,
Help Bring Peace To Darfur In 2008
Together, we can end the violence.
Make your tax-deductible 2007 year-end gift today.
With just three days left before the ball drops, time is running out to make your tax-deductible year-end gift to the Save Darfur Coalition.
Activists like you have made real progress in the past year – but our work is not done.
We're still $294,694 away from our $450,000 goal. Will you make your tax-deductible gift before 2007 ends to help us bring the peacekeepers to Darfur in 2008?
As the suffering continues, I know that the situation in Darfur can frustrate even the most committed activists at times. But you must not lose sight of our progress!
In the past year, with your help, we have:
Pressured the United Nations to ensure the strongest possible United Nations-African Union peacekeeping force;
Convinced Congress and the White House to uphold America's commitment to the people of Darfur by agreeing to fund the peacekeeping mission;
Increased the economic pressure on Sudan by helping to pass legislation that protects states' and local governments' rights to divest from companies that help fund genocide; and
Urged China and other countries to stop aiding the genocide.
But keeping Darfur at the top of the world's list of priorities takes serious resources and we need your support.
Please help bring peace to Darfur by helping us reach our $450,000 goal by December 31. Click here to make your tax-deductible year-end gift today.
You're part of a tremendous movement - more than one million people strong - dedicated to restoring peace to Darfur. Together, we can and will help end the violence.
Thank you again for your dedication to making Darfur’s future a peaceful one.
Wishing you a Happy New Year from all of us here at the Save Darfur Coalition.
Best regards,
Colleen Connors
