Featured Article #1: Joanna's painful foot was traced to an upset with her boyfriend--EFT eliminates pain from her "Jimmy foot": Here's an excellent example of how emotional issues can show up in the body. Gratitude to Rossanna Massey for submitting it. She says, "My friend Joanna called me late one evening worried about her right foot. It started off as a slight ache in the morning, but as the day progressed it got considerably worse. She could not recall any precipitating factors or injuries that would make her foot hurt so badly." Email Rossanna and Visit her website

Here is another by Gill Danis from France. She says, "After a few minutes of tapping, Annie felt her bowels gurgling." I've heard comments like this many times. Email Gill

Tips from the EFT Website
Broad issues, sleeping problems and chronic pain: Syena has been an EFT'er now for only a few months. I thought you would enjoy her writing style and enthusiasm as she tells of some recent experiences that range from very broad self esteem issues to sleeping problems to chronic pain. Along the way, please notice the link between the clients' emotional issues and their physical ailments. Also notice Syena's use of intuition and her ability to be a detective in finding core issues ...
Intentional EFT, enhancing romance and chewing cold things: Although his story includes several issues, the reaction Jim Shane got from his wife after he used EFT to help her through their argument was particularly amusing. As he reports, "I stepped back and watched as she stood there, her eyes shifting back and forth as if to search for something she'd lost. After about fifteen seconds , she looked at me, walked up to me and put her arms around me. We just held each other for about a minute, then she said "I was stuck, and I couldn't get out of it. This is amazing!" I had to agree. It would have taken hours for us to get over just being awkward around each other, let alone intimate. It was magic!"
Intentionality on an airplane: This whole notion of tapping for someone else (surrogate tapping) and mental tapping (intentionality) has been featured on this list on many occasions. There are too many successful reports from independent sources to wave a nonchalant hand at it or "explain it away." We are stepping beyond mere coincidence here. This example has been submitted by Dr. Patricia Carrington who, interestingly enough, comes from the scientific community and was formerly the chairperson for scientific research for ACEP. I love scientists with open minds. They are the ones who break the ground for new discoveries.
Breathing problems, surrogate tapping, and Try it on Everything: Adding to the Try it On Everything collection, here are a few more examples of issues that have responded to standard and creative uses of EFT.
A 91 year old lady's sleeping disorder: Gloria Arenson is a seasoned practitioner in this field with decades of experience in the psychotherapy field. She takes us through a sleeping issue with a 91 year old lady and, along the way, demonstrates expert facility with EFT and finding a core issue.
A "One point wonder" on pain & a question on morning sickness.: Glenn Turner, a newcomer to EFT from Australia, poses two interesting questions. The first is in regards to relieving shoulder pain by tapping only one point. The other involves tapping on pregnant women. Although we still don't have concrete answers for many questions, we continue to recommend the advice of a licensed physician whenever there is doubt about the safety of using EFT.
Cervical cancer pain and being specific: Krysti Wesley gives us this creative use of "getting specific" on a patient's intense pain. Experimenting with more specific approaches will not only lead to better results, the artist who develops these tools usually has several doorways through which to approach each issue.
Headaches, substance sensitivities, phone work, dental fears and grief.: Crystal Hawk, an experienced and well known practitioner in Canada, gives us a broad look at some of her uses for EFT--she addresses headaches, substance sensitivities, phone work, dental fears and grief. I augment her message with a few comments.
Neck pain and Irritable Bowel Syndrome--Pass the Megaphone: Beth Smillie from the UK helps a client eliminate neck pain and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It sounds so casual, so routine. It reads as though these things are commonplace. Please understand, though, that the client's neck pain was of six years duration and was given up on by the medical establishment. Also, IBS is one of those medical maladies that is often stubborn and not easily cured. Yet with a few waves of the fingertips, Beth was able to give this client complete and lasting relief on both issues.
