Call 202-224-3121 today and urge Senator Allard to fully fund peacekeeping for Darfur.

You are being heard! By taking action last week, the House of Representatives is close to approving major funding for peacekeeping and humanitarian aid for Darfur.

But there's more to do before that help reaches the people who need it. This week, the Senate Appropriations Committee will vote on this funding and we have just a few days to convince your senator to support funding for the people of Darfur.

Your senator, Senator Allard, will help determine whether or not the U.S. will fund peacekeeping and humanitarian aid programs in Darfur.

Please take two minutes today and call your senator. Just follow the steps below:

Dial 202-224-3121 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time and ask to be connected to Senator Allard's office.
Tell the staff person answering the phone that you're calling to urge your senator to support crucial funding for Darfur in the 2008 supplemental funding bill. This funding will protect and feed millions of men, women, and children in Darfur.

U.S. funding can save thousands of lives in Darfur. It will not only bolster security by investing in the undermanned peacekeeping force, it will also help fill the gap created by the U.N.'s decision to cut its Darfur food aid shipments in half.
